Psychotherapy London Ontario

Getting started

How do I start therapy?

Getting started is simple. You can book a free 15-minute consultation to ask questions and see if we’re a good fit, or go ahead and schedule your first session through the online booking page. I’m here to support you, every step of the way.

Do I need a referral to your services?

No referral is needed. You’re welcome to book your session directly through our Jane App online booking system whenever you're ready to begin.

Do I need to live in Ontario to meet with you?

Yes. According to the College of Nurses of Ontario, I can only provide psychotherapy services to clients who are physically located in Ontario at the time of their session. This ensures that care is delivered in alignment with regulatory and professional standards.

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

I understand that life can be unpredictable. If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, please do so at least 24 hours in advance through the on-line booking system. This allows time to offer the space to someone else who may be waiting. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to a fee of 50% of the session cost. No-shows will be charged the full amount of the session booked.

Fees and coverage

What is the fee for therapy?

The fee for individual psychotherapy is $160 per 60-minute session and $190 per 90-minute session. Payment is made after your session, and a receipt is provided for insurance or personal records.

Is psychotherapy covered by insurance?

Many extended health benefit plans cover psychotherapy. It’s always a good idea to check with your provider to confirm your specific coverage details.

Therapy services

Are your services offered virtually?

Yes, all of our sessions are offered virtually or by phone. This makes it easier for you to access support in a space that feels comfortable and convenient for you.

How do virtual therapy sessions work?

Virtual therapy offers a flexible and supportive way to connect—wherever you feel most at ease. Sessions are held through a secure video platform via the Jane App or over the phone (I’ll give you a call). You’ll receive the same personalized, compassionate care as you would in person. All you need is a quiet, private space and a stable internet or phone connection.

What are therapy sessions like?

Each session is a collaborative conversation where we focus on your goals, explore what’s already working, and build on your strengths. You can expect a supportive, respectful space where your experiences are heard, and your progress is celebrated—one step at a time.

How long is each session?

Sessions are either 60 or 90 minutes long, giving us the time and space to explore what matters most to you while making steady, meaningful progress toward your goals.

Will I have to talk about the past?

Only if it feels helpful. While we might touch on past experiences, our work will primarily focus on the present and the future you want to create. You’re always in control of what you share and when.

How long does therapy usually take?

The length of therapy is different for everyone—it really depends on your goals, needs, and what feels right for you. Some people find a few sessions are enough to get clarity or work through a specific challenge, while others benefit from longer-term support. We’ll check in regularly to make sure our work together continues to feel helpful, and you’re always in control of how long you choose to continue.

Therapeutic approaches

What is SFBT?

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is all about looking forward. Rather than focusing on the problem, we’ll explore what’s already working, your preferred future, and the small steps that can get you there. This approach helps you build on your strengths to create meaningful change—often sooner than you might expect.

What is TEAM-CBT?

TEAM-CBT is a structured, evidence-based approach that helps you shift unhelpful thoughts and behaviors by combining cognitive strategies with emotional processing and motivational tools. It’s collaborative and active—together, we’ll focus on what's holding you back and practice skills that move you toward your goals.

What is Neuro Network Therapy®?

Neuro Network Therapy is a gentle, brain-based approach that supports deep emotional healing. It works by engaging your brain’s natural capacity to process and release old patterns, making space for new insights, emotional balance, and lasting change.
